CINCO DE MAYO

Cinco de Mayo has to be one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. First and foremost because of its significance, best expressed by my dear friends at http://www.vivacincodemayo.org/history.htm.
The Frenchies, you know, those "anti imperialists" who spread their empire from Africa to America to Asia, got their sorry asses kicked by a bunch of poorly armed peasants led by, sins of all sins, a TEXAN (and consequently a Chicano).
My heart brims with PRIDE and JOY everytime Americans across the land drink Margaritas to the defeat of the French at the Battle of Puebla...
Viva Cinco de Mayo! Viva la Batalla de Puebla! Viva Mexico! Que Vivan todos los Chicanos!

I'm back after an eight month long hyatus.
So much has occured in Frogland since last September. The country is bursting at the seams. Violent rioting of the oppressed underclass http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Paris_suburb_riots finally exposed the true face of French society (and it's pretty ugly). Student opposition to solutions proposed by Chirac's government with regards to the over 20% unemployment rate for French youths http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/917 showed the world that the country's youths are still trapped in the utopian surreality invented by Mitterrand and his trusty cohorts of rotten minions. Anti-semitism and racism are rampant, http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3220564,00.html & http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/114626.stm, http://tf1.lci.fr/infos/france/0,,3305956,00.html further polarizing the different components of society and contributing to the general sense of malaise felt throughout the land. Symptoms of this gangrenous disease are showing again this week with many frenchies anticipating Mr. Le Pen to make it to the second round of the presidential elections, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Marie_Le_Pen more rioting, police station burning http://tf1.lci.fr/infos/france/0,,3306021,00.html AND http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/31/AR2006053100831.html etc. etc....
Political corruption scandals are rocking the Chirac government http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/5029380.stm
Definitely, this is as good as it gets in France, that great nation of lecture-givers to the world...
Stay tuned for more....
